Job Description
At Canandaigua Aquatics - YMCA, we are looking for a Swim Instructor who can lead swimming programs and offer personalized lessons to children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students with a strong love for swimming, great communication skills, and the ability to inspire young swimmers to enjoy and respect the water. Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction for students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
• Assess student progress and provide feedback as needed
Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various strokes
• Background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle challenging situations calmly
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is a plus
• Passion for swimming and working with children
